Probably most pepole have the traditional understanding of counter-rotating twin screw extruders. Low speed and low shear are the most points for such machines. Anyway, such typical machines, presently, are just sucessfully applied in PVC process and some other special processes.

Along with the deep and full understanding of the advantages and disadvantantages of such counter rotating twin screw extrusions, we developed the new screw profile to decrease the serious intermeshing forces and hence to make it possible run at higher speed. Consequently, we could find more and more positive features for such machines.

Near-to-zero IV drop now is practicable for screw extrusion process. This great point is mainly contributed from some very unique features in such type extruders. Among of these features, the most important point is the larger exposed area to extreme vacuum during extrusion. The most sections along the two screws are exposed and this will cause better removing of low molecular weight materials. Also, the gentle shearing along whole screw could avoid overheating very well.



Strong taking-in features and high speed condition make this type extruder very advantagous for those fluffy materials, like film scrapes, bottle flakes, chopped fibers. Such system could avoid the agglomeration units to avoid extra energy consumption.
